Suite Mediterranea” I Quadri di un Ambiente”

The Mediterranean Suite "I Quadri di un Ambiente" is a minimalist suite, timbrically uniform, tonal, with repetitions and rhythmic superimpositions of melodic cells that try to render the idea of a hypnotic and contemplative music which, with its magical properties, brings the listener into a state of ecstasy. It is conceptually inspired by visual arts, dance and theatre. The times that compose the suite are divided into paintings. This suite was composed for the show "BENTU DE NOTAS" which Cristian Marcia himself designed. In this show the minimal music, acting, dance, lights and projections meet the history and nature of the Molentargius Park located in Cagliari, Sardinia. The development of the Mediterranean Suite in all its paintings will take the viewer on a journey through nature and the environment of the park, characterised by beauty and harmony, inspired by the Sardinian sun, whose virtuosity and rhythm echoes ethnic and tribal dances.
